BBOB Committees
Works with directors to coordinate MSBOA Festival, mostly volunteer coordination the month before. Required to be available at MSBOA Festival, held on a Friday night and Saturday during the day, usually in March.
Works with the choir boosters to coordinates the distribution, collection, sorting and dry cleaning of concert uniforms (tuxes and dresses) for all band and orchestra students. Uniforms are sent to the dry cleaners at the end of the school year. Sorting and distribution is done in August before the beginning of the school year. Collection is done at the end of the school year after final ensemble performances.
Coordinates the distribution, collection, sorting and dry cleaning of marching band uniforms. Uniforms are distributed in August and collected after the last football game. The uniforms are sent to the dry cleaners then sorted when they are returned.
Coordinates all activity for the concession stand during football season and festival. This includes staffing, purchasing and selling of food items. Dates are typically August through October for football games and several days in March for festival.

Organizes refreshments for concerts and events throughout the year. May arrange a committee and recruit volunteers to provide the refreshments.
Keeps photos/videos/images on website up to date. Places BBOB meeting minutes and other documents on the website.
Coordinates MSBOA district Marching Band Festival held October. Volunteer works closely with the band and orchestra directors to organize volunteers and should be available the day of the festival.
This traditional food drive is held at the Collage Concert. Requires making reservations in September for pick-up and delivery of collections boxes and PR before the concert.
Brings corsages and boutonnieres for senior participants in the Concerto Concert. Prefer to not be a parent that has a student soloist (generally a non-senior parent)
Work with the band director to organize band camp. Duties include collecting forms and money, organizing volunteers, arranging transportation and attending band camp. This begins in the spring before the end of school and ends when band camp is over.
Coordinates this annual fundraiser through distribution of sales catalog, collection of sales forms and monies, and coordinating delivery and sorting of product. Requires work at home for processing orders, and 2 days (approximately 8 hours total) of sorting orders and distribution (with help from lots of volunteers), in the fall, early winter. Requires attention to detail, and time at home to process orders- usually around 50 orders – processing could take about 5 hours or more. Simple Excel knowledge needed, spreadsheet provided.
Works with orchestra director to obtain design and ordering of yearly orchestra shirts, aids in distribution.
Coordinates senior gift within the budget and guidelines set forth from the board, to be distributed at the annual banquet. Requires time at home to prepare gifts, selection in the Spring and hands on in May.
Works with Band and Orchestra Directors to aid in obtaining grants for various Instrumental Music needs.
Arranges the online store for ordering tuxedo shirts for the concert uniform. Work with choir boosters to sort and distribute the shirts. A one-time activity before the first concert in October.
Arranges the online store for ordering of marching band shoes. Sorts and distributes the new and used shoes. One or two time activity at the beginning of marching band season.
Present prior to home games and festival to handle uniform emergencies and issues.
